Apps and App Host logs

You can access and download logs for an app or App Host .

App log

To access the log for an app, which is in the App Host container, go to the app's Details tab and click Download Logs.

The log is the resilient-circuits log and provides the status of the app within the App Host container, which is shown as the Pod status. It also provides the name of the app repository, which is shown as image=<name>; for example, image=quay.io. When you click Download Logs, you can filter the log by a start and end date; otherwise, you download all the available logs.

You can also access the log on the system that hosts the App Host.

Download Logs is not available until the app is deployed.

App Host log

To access the logs for an App Host, go to the Apps main tab, select the App Host, and click Download Controller Logs from the App Host menu. The App Host must be successfully paired to access the logs.

The logs are the App Host synchronizer and operator logs.

If the App Host is V1.6.1 or later, you can download the logs and filter the logs by start and end dates. If the App Host was restarted, both current and older logs are available under Advanced settings. Select Current container to download the logs since the restart, or Previous container to download the logs before the restart.

For earlier releases of App Hosts, you see the instructions to download App Host specific logs when you click Download Controller Logs.
