Adding MSSP users to an organization

To assign an MSSP user to an organization, you can edit the user in the Users tab in the configuration organization.

About this task

When you edit a user from the configuration organization, you can assign the user to additional organizations or remove the user from specific organizations.

Procedure

  1. In the configuration organization, select Administrator Settings > Users.
  2. Select the user that you want to edit and scroll to the bottom the page to see the user's details.
  3. Click Edit.
  4. In the Organizations field, click in any blank space to see a list of organizations.
    Alternately, you can remove the user from an organization by clicking the x in that organization box.
  5. Click the organization or organizations for which you want to grant the user access.
  6. Click Save.

Reassigning open incidents and tasks

You can reassign a user's open MSSP incidents and tasks to another user. All of the user's open incidents and tasks are reassigned.

Before you begin

You must be a member of all of the organizations in the MSSP deployment.

About this task

Reassign open incidents and tasks from the configuration organization. When you reassign, all of the user's incidents and tasks across all organizations are reassigned.

Procedure

  1. If necessary, switch to the configuration organization.
  2. Select Administrator Settings > Users.
  3. Select the user for whom you want to reassign and click Reassign Incidents/Tasks.
    Note: The Reassign Incidents/Tasks button is shown only if the selected user has open incidents currently assigned to them. The incidents and tasks are not shown.
  4. From the Reassign open incidents to field, search for and select the user to whom you want to reassign the incidents. From the Reassign open tasks to field, search for and select the user to whom you want to reassign the open tasks.
    Important: Only users who are members of the organizations that contain the incidents and tasks to be reassigned are shown. It is not possible to reassign incidents and tasks to users who are not members of the organizations, so non-members are not applicable and therefore are not shown.
  5. Click Reassign.
