Duplicating playbooks

You can duplicate a playbook from either the playbook list view or the playbook canvas.

About this task

The Duplicate option is available from the overflow menu () that also includes the Export and Delete functions.

When you first duplicate a playbook, you can change the Activation Type and the Object Type, but the rest of the playbook settings are preserved. When you open the new playbook, the settings are validated and conditions that are not applicable to the duplicated playbook are marked as invalid.

Scripts are specific to each playbook so they are duplicated with the playbook. The rest of the playbook objects are reused.

Duplicated playbooks are saved in Draft mode. While in draft mode, you can change the Activation Type and Object Type. After the playbook is enabled, these fields are locked, and you cannot change them.
