Deleting a user removes the account permanently.
Before you begin
You must be a member of all of the organizations in the MSSP deployment. Also, if the user
is currently assigned any incidents or tasks, determine which user or group should be assigned the
incidents or tasks.
About this task
If a user was added to a child organization, delete the user from within that child organization.
If a user was added from the configuration organization, delete the user from the configuration
organization. When you delete a user from the configuration organization, the user is deleted across
all child organizations.
Procedure
-
From the child or configuration organization, select Administrator Settings >
Users.
-
Select the user that you want to delete and click the delete icon in the row. Alternately, you
can click the user name, scroll to the bottom the page to see the user's details, and click
Deactivate User > Delete User.
-
If the user is assigned to any open tasks or incidents and you wish to reassign them, from the
Reassign open incidents to field, search for and select the user to whom you
want to reassign the incidents. From the Reassign open tasks to field, search
for and select the user to whom you want to reassign the open tasks.
Important: Only users who are members of the organizations that contain the incidents
and tasks to be reassigned are shown. It is not possible to reassign incidents and tasks to users
who are not members of the organizations, so non-members are not applicable and therefore are not
shown.
- If the user has no open incidents or tasks, click Yes to delete
the user; otherwise, click Delete User.
