Changing Axis Scales

You can change the scale of an axis by using the appropriate tab and defining an explicit range for a scale axis or by excluding categories on a categorical axis. See Axis Scale for more information about scale axes. See Categories for more information about categorical axes.

You can also use the rescaling tool to change the scales quickly. This tool is like a zoom feature. It allows you to draw a box in the inner frame and force the scales to change so the inner frame shrinks to the size of the box. The action affects all axes in the chart.

Using the Rescaling Tool

1. From the menus choose:

   Edit > Rescale Chart

2. Click in the inner frame and drag the box to the preferred range.
3. Confirm that the range is correct when prompted and click OK.

Reverting to the Original Axis Scales

1. From the menus choose:

Edit > Scale to Data
