Dialog Box Navigation Special Topic: Chart Builder

The canvas in the Chart Builder dialog box requires some special consideration. As with other main dialog boxes, the initial focus is placed in the source variable list.

Building charts - To select a chart type, tab to the "Choose from" list or press Alt+C, select an option, and then tab over to the charts. Use the arrow keys to move between chart types. Select the chart that you want and press the space bar to put it on the canvas.

To add a variable to the canvas, first select it in the source list, press Ctrl+C (Windows/Linux) or Command+C (Mac) to copy it. You can also press Shift+F10 to open the context menu. Next, use the arrow key to select the variable to copy it. Then, navigate to a drop zone and press Ctrl+V (Windows/Linux) or Command+V (Mac) to paste the variable. In general, all chart building and modification operations are available on a pop-up menu that can be accessed on Windows and Linux by pressing Shift+F10 in the canvas.
