Related Procedures

The Ratio Statistics procedure is a useful tool for obtaining summary statistics for the ratio of two scale variables.

Other procedures offer some different summary statistics, but they are computed separately for each scale variable. To use a univariate procedure to obtain summary statistics for the ratio of two variables, first use Compute Variable (Transform menu) to create a third variable containing the ratio of the two variables. To use the Ratio Statistics procedure to obtain summary statistics for a single variable, create a variable whose values equal 1, then specify that variable as the denominator.
