MDISPLAY Subcommand (SET command)

The MDISPLAY subcommand specifies how matrices are displayed. By default, IBM® SPSS® Statistics displays matrices to TEXT. The TABLES setting uses pivot tables to display matrices.

The default also appears as the recommended setting when you run the SHOW command.
