Selecting a map
Open the data files Tracts.sav and CrimeData.sav.
To create geospatial association rules, from the menus, choose:

- Select Find associations based on event and geospatial data (Geospatial Association Rules).
- Click Next.

- Go to Samples\English\MapData and select the shape file Mapdata.shp.
- In the Set Projection dialog, select A city, region, or country (Mercator).
- You can also change the Relationship. This setting defines how events relate to features on the map. For example, events can occur Within an area or Close to a specific location. For this example, the default selection of Within is correct.
- Click Next.
You can add multiple maps. For example, you could have a map that defines geographic areas such as states or counties, a map that defines roads, and a map that defines terrain features such as rivers or lakes.
