Selecting data sources

Geospatial association rules require at least one event data source. An event data source contains information on events that occur, such as crimes or accidents. You can also include context data sources. A context data source identifies features on the map. A context data can also contain fields that can be used as inputs for the model.

A data source can be a dBase file that is provided with the shape file, an IBM® SPSS® Statistics data file, or an open dataset in the current session.
