Overview (SPATIAL ASSOCIATION RULES command)

The SPATIAL ASSOCIATION RULES command finds associations based on event and geospatial data (geospatial association rules).

Basic specifications

  • MAPSPEC subcommand that specifies the map specification file.
  • DATASET subcommand that specifies the data source that contains event data.
  • One or more DATASET subcommands that specify the data sources that contain map information.
  • All other subcommands are optional.

Operations

Unlike most statistical procedure commands, this command does not require an active dataset that is open in the current session. All data sources used by the procedure must be specified in a map specification file defined with the SPATIAL MAPSPEC command.

Syntax rules

  • Subcommands can be specified in any order.
  • Parentheses, equals signs, and slashes shown in the syntax chart are required.
  • The command name, subcommand names, and keywords must be spelled in full.
  • Empty subcommands are not allowed.

Limitations

SPLIT FILE is ignored by SPATIAL ASSOCIATION RULES.
