Goodness-of-Fit Tests

The goodness-of-fit table presents two tests of the null hypothesis that the final model adequately fits the data.
- If the null is true, the Pearson and likelihood ratio statistics have chi-square distributions with the displayed degrees of freedom.
- If the significance value is small (less than 0.05), then the model does not adequately fit the data. In this case, there is no reason to reject the null, and the model provides an adequate fit.
