JOINTPROB Subcommand (CSSELECT command)

First-stage joint inclusion probabilities are automatically saved to an external IBM® SPSS® Statistics data file when the plan file specifies a PPS without-replacement sampling method. By default, the joint probabilities file is given the same name as the plan file (with a different extension), and it is written to the same location. JOINTPROB is used to override the default name and location of the file.

  • OUTFILE specifies the name of the file. In general, if the file exists, it is overwritten without warning.
  • The joint probabilities file is generated only when the plan file specifies PPS_WOR, PPS_BREWER, PPS_SAMPFORD, or PPS_MURTHY as the sampling method. A warning is generated if JOINTPROB is used when any other sampling method is requested in the plan file.
