Running the Analysis

  1. To run a GLM Univariate analysis, from the menus choose:

    Analyze > General Linear Model > Univariate...

  2. Select Amount spent as the dependent variable.
  3. Select Gender and Shopping style as the fixed factors.
  4. Click Plots.

  5. Select style as the horizontal axis variable.

    Note that the variable labels are not displayed in the GLM Univariate sub-dialog boxes.

  6. Select gender as the separate lines variable.
  7. Click Add.
  8. Click Continue.
  9. Click Post Hoc in the GLM Univariate dialog box.

  10. Select style as the variable for which post hoc tests should be produced.
  11. Select Tukey in the Equal Variances Assumed group.
  12. Click Continue.
  13. Click Options in the GLM Univariate dialog box.

  14. Select gender*style as the term for which means should be displayed.
  15. Select Descriptive statistics, Homogeneity tests, Estimates of effect size, and Spread vs. level plot in the Display group.
  16. Click Continue.
  17. Click OK in the GLM Univariate dialog box.

Next
