Model information

Model specifications

The model specifications tables contains information about the model building parameters, including the model inputs, the number of autoregressive lags, and the type of spatial covariance model.

The target is "KDE". In this example, calculated kernel density estimates are used as the target.

  • Each record (row) in the point density data source represents an occurrence of an event at a specific location during a specific time period.
  • In this example, each record represents a violent crime at a location that is identified by longitude and latitude values during a specific month.

This data source contains a field that identifies the type of crime. In this example, all the fields in the data source are for the same type of crime. If the data source contained different types of crimes, you might filter the data source to select only certain types of crimes (Data > Select Cases).

Temporal information summary

The temporal information summary displays the field or fields that define the time intervals, the time increment, starting and ending time points, and the number of time points.

Test of spatial covariance

The test of spatial covariance is one of the criteria that are used to determine whether a variogram-based parametric model is appropriate. If the significance level of this test statistic is greater than 0.05, a nonparametric empirical model is used. In this example, the significance value ("Sig.") is less than 0.05.
