Boxplots with interquartile range and outliers

To Obtain Boxplots Summarizing Groups of Cases

1. From the menus choose:

   Graphs > Chart Builder...

2. Click the Gallery tab.
3. Select Boxplot in the Choose from: list.
4. Drag and drop the Simple Boxplot icon into the canvas area of the Chart Builder.
5. Drag and drop a scale variable onto the Y-Axis.
6. Drag and drop a categorical variable that divides your data into subgroups onto the X-Axis.

The categorical grouping variable can be a string (alphanumeric) variable or a numeric variable that use numeric codes to represent categories (e.g., 0=Male, 1=Female).
