Bar chart of summary statistics within categories

To Obtain Bar Charts of Summary Statistics within Categories

1. From the menus, choose:

   Graphs > Chart Builder

2. Click the Gallery tab.
3. Select Bar in the Choose from: list.
4. Drag and drop the Simple Bar icon into the canvas area of the Chart Builder.
5. Drag and drop a categorical (nominal or ordinal) variable onto the X-Axis.
6. Drag and drop a scale variable onto the Y-Axis.

The default summary measure is the mean. To select a different summary function, click Element Properties.
