Simulation plan output

The output from a simulation includes the details of the simulation plan. The plan includes information about the predictive model on which the simulation is based, the distributions that will be used for simulating the inputs, correlations between those inputs, as well as various other settings.

Figure 1. Model Type table
Model Type table

The Model Type table displays details about the predictive model on which the simulation is based, as well as any filters specified for the range of values to be simulated for each input.

Figure 2. Input Distributions table
Input Distributions table

The Input Distributions table displays the distribution associated with each input, along with the parameters of the distribution.

Figure 3. Correlations table
Correlations table

The Correlations table displays any correlations between the inputs that are to be simulated. Fixed inputs and inputs with a categorical distribution are excluded.

Figure 4. Stopping Criteria table
Stopping Criteria table

The Stopping Criteria table describes the criteria that will be used for determining when to stop generating simulated cases. This example uses the default stopping criteria. It specifies that cases will be generated until the confidence interval of the mean of the target, at the 95% confidence level, is within 1% of the mean value. It also specifies that a maximum of 100,000 cases will be generated, so if the criteria on the confidence interval of the mean has not been met after 100,000 cases, then no more cases are generated.
