spsspkg.IsBackendReady(). Indicates whether IBM® SPSS® Statistics is ready to receive commands. This function is of use only when R is controlling the IBM SPSS Statistics backend. The result is TRUE if IBM SPSS Statistics is ready to receive commands and FALSE otherwise.
