OUTFILE Subcommand (OPTIMAL BINNING command)
The OUTFILE
subcommand writes
syntax to an external command syntax file.
RULES=filespec. Rules file specification. The procedure can generate command syntax that can be used to bin other datasets. The recoding rules are based on the end points determined by the binning algorithm. Specify an external file to contain the saved syntax.
Note that saved variables (see the SAVE
keyword in theVARIABLES subcommand) are generated using
end points exactly as computed by the algorithm, while the bins created
via saved syntax rules use end points converted to and from a decimal
representation. Conversion errors in this process can, in certain
cases, cause the end points read from syntax to differ from the original
ones. The syntax precision of end points is 17 digits.
