Adding new server definitions
To add a new server:
- In the Content Explorer, open the Resource Definitions folder.
- Click the Servers folder.
- From the File menu, choose:
The Add New Server Definition wizard opens. Alternatively, the new server definition dialog box can be accessed by clicking New next to a server field on the General tab for some steps. The process for defining new servers consists of:
- Naming the server definition and specifying its type. Note that
the server types available depend on which product adapters are installed
to the repository.
Note: If the server is to be used to run IBM® SPSS® Statistics custom dialogs in IBM SPSS Collaboration and Deployment Services Deployment Portal, then be sure to select Remote IBM SPSS Statistics Server for the server type.
- Selecting a location in the Servers folder for the definition.
- Specifying parameters for the server that define connection or execution information. The parameter set depends on the server type.
