CI Subcommand (NONPAR CORR command)
The optional CI
subcommand controls the estimation of the
confidence intervals. It is not specified by default, which suppresses the estimation. When
specified, the confidence limits are estimated and displayed in the output.
- METHOD
- The optional keyword determines which estimation method is used to compute the confidence intervals for the Spearman’s rank-order correlation. The keyword takes effect when either SPEARMAN or BOTH is specified for the /PRINT subcommand. By default, the keyword is omitted, which suppresses the estimation. The keyword specified in parentheses determines how the standard error is calculated. FHP, which is the default setting, estimates the standard error based on the method discussed by [Fieller et al., 1957]. CC and BW estimate the standard error based on the method discussed by [Caruso and Cliff, 1997][Caruso and Cliff, 1997] and [Bonett and Wright, 2000], respectively.
- CILEVEL
- The optional keyword determines the level of the confidence intervals or
limits. The value must be a single value
∈(0,100)
with95
as the default setting.
