Required Operating System users
Each IBM® Storage Protect Snapshot instance requires a user ID that has permission to administer all Oracle databases that are protected by the instance.
When you are accessing a database, Oracle requires that the ORACLE_HOME and ORACLE_SID environment variables are set in the user's environment. For each protected database, these values must be passed through profile variables ORACLE_HOME and ORACLE_SID to IBM Storage Protect Snapshot. You are asked to specify required values for ORACLE_HOME and ORACLE_SID when you are running the Configuration Wizard. These entries are included in the IBM Storage Protect Snapshot profile when you complete the configuration process and exit the Configuration Wizard. These values are used for all subsequent IBM Storage Protect Snapshot for Oracle operations.
