Protection in a DB2 pureScale® HA environment
IBM Storage Protect Snapshot in a DB2 pureScale environment provides high availability to IBM Storage Protect Snapshot daemon processes.
In a DB2 pureScale cluster, IBM Storage Protect Snapshot daemon processes are running on multiple hosts. These daemon processes are active on only one of the hosts, and are in standby mode on the other hosts. If a failover occurs and the current host, where Tivoli® Storage FlashCopy® Manager daemon processes were running, is unavailable, the daemon processes start on another host. Back up and restore operations can be run from any host that is active and configured to run IBM Storage Protect Snapshot.
