Background daemons

For IBM® Storage Protect Snapshot to work, background daemon processes are required. Background daemon processes are started directly when you complete configuring IBM Storage Protect Snapshot for Oracle with the Configuration Wizard. The Configuration Wizard starts and stops daemons as required when you configure or reconfigure your setup.

To support high availability environments where the /etc/inittab cannot be used, add ACSD and ASGEN -d to the high availability scripts to provide you with the exact commands that must be added to your high availability scripts instead of adding entries to /etc/inittab.
