Resolving vSnap gateway creation timeout error

Failed to create the gateway device. The operation timed out while configuring the vSnap target module. The target subsystem is not responding.

You may encounter the following error message while creating the gateway device:

Error: Exception: Failed to create gateway device: Timed out while trying to configure the vSnap target module. The target subsystem appears to be hung.

To resolve the error, complete the following steps:
  1. Reboot vSnap.
  2. Verify that all services start successfully. Run the commands in the following order: 
    • $ sudo reboot -n
    • $ vsnap_status
    • $ zpool status
  3. Re-run the job.
