Testing connection to an Oracle application server

You can test the connection to an Oracle host. The test function verifies communication with the host and tests DNS settings between the IBM Storage® Protect Plus virtual appliance and the host.

Procedure

To test the connection, complete the following steps:

  1. In the navigation panel, click Manage Protection > Databases > Oracle.
  2. Click Manage Application Servers.
  3. In the list of hosts, click Test in the Actions menu for the host.
