Editing a role
You can edit a role to change the resources and permissions that are assigned to the role. Updated role settings take effect when user accounts that are associated with the role log in to IBM Storage® Protect Plus.
Before you begin
Note the following considerations before editing a role:
- If you are signed in when the permissions or access rights for your user account are changed, you must sign out and sign in again for the updated permissions to take effect.
- You can edit any role that is not designated as Cannot be modified.
Procedure
To edit a user role, complete the following steps
- In the navigation panel, click .

Select a role and click the options icon
for the role. Click Modify
Role.
- Revise the role name, permissions, or both.
- Click Update role.
