IBM Storage® Protect Plus is available as a software offering in the IBM Cloud® catalog or as an IBM® Cloud for VMware™ Solutions service.

IBM Storage Protect Plus on-premises supports both VMware and ™ Hyper-V environments. However, IBM Storage Protect Plus on IBM Cloud does not support Hyper-V environments.

This documentation includes topics about features that are specific to Hyper-V. These features are not available if you are using IBM Storage Protect Plus on IBM Cloud.

The current version of IBM Storage Protect Plus and IBM Storage Protect Plus on IBM Cloud might not be the same.

If you want to use the current version of IBM Storage Protect Plus on IBM Cloud, follow the instructions in Updating IBM Storage Protect Plus components to complete an upgrade.
