Adding virtual disks
You can add new virtual disks (hard disks) to your IBM Storage® Protect Plus virtual appliance by using vCenter.
When you deploy the IBM Storage Protect
Plus virtual
appliance, you can deploy all virtual disks to one datastore that you specify at the time of
deployment. You can add a disk within the virtual appliance and configure it as a Logical Volume
Manager (LVM). You can then mount the new disk as a new volume or attach the new disk to the
existing volumes within the virtual appliance.
Important: Do not add space or extend an
existing volume for the IBM Storage Protect
Plus virtual
appliance.
You can review the disk partitions by using the fdisk -l command. You can review the physical volumes and the volume groups on the IBM Storage Protect Plus virtual appliance by using the pvdisplay and vgdisplay commands.
