Monitoring Open Snap Store Manager (OSSM)
If your organization installed and configured the OSSM component on the same system where you installed the IBM Spectrum Protect server, you can monitor OSSM instances from the IBM Spectrum Protect Operations Center.
Before you begin
Ensure that the IBM Spectrum Protect server high-level address (HLA) is set to the server where the OSSM instance is installed.
If you need to verify that the HLA is set correctly, use the following steps to verify it and set it.:
- On the Operations Center menu bar, click Server.
- Select the IBM Spectrum Protect server whose host name or IP address you want to view and click Details.
- Click Properties and check the server host name or IP address. If the server host name or IP address is blank, then set the server HLA address.
- If you need to set the server HLA address, use the IBM Spectrum Protect command line or the
command line builder in the Operations Center to issue the following command:From the IBM Spectrum Protect command line or the command builder in the OC, issue the following command
set serverhladdress server ip address or hostname
About this task
You can view high-level information about the OSSM instances that are monitored in the Operations Center. The following categories of information are displayed in the dashboard view:
- You can view the OSSM instances and the following related information:
- OSSM instance name
- Status
- Port number
- IBM Spectrum Protect server name
- IBM Spectrum Protect Plus host name
- Number of proxy servers
- You can view details of the proxy servers such as the name of the proxy server, status, and last synchronized date and time.
- You can view the list of registration keys and API keys.
Procedure
On the Operations Center menu bar, click
to view the OSSM dashboard.
The OSSM dashboard opens, displaying all the OSSM instances.
