Managing space with HSM for Windows

You can manage space on Windows® file servers by creating and running migration jobs, and by configuring threshold migration.

You can manually retrieve migrated files with the HSM for Windows client or with the IBM® Storage Protect backup-archive client.

Changes on your file system need to periodically be reconciled with the IBM Storage Protect server.
