Configuring the HSM for Windows client web GUI

Administrators can use a web browser to log in to the HSM for Windows™ client web GUI, access one of the HSM nodes in the company’s installation, and supervise all the HSM-managed file servers.

Before you begin

OpenSSL software version 3.0 or later must be installed on all HSM-managed file servers.

About this task

The HSM for Windows client web GUI is an optional, installable component that comes with the HSM for Windows client installer package. The HSM for Windows client web GUI is installed on one HSM node that acts as the proxy-server node. All other HSM nodes can act as proxy-client nodes and require registration at the proxy-server node.

The HSM for Windows client web GUI consists of:
  • The Login screen.
  • The Dashboard with overview information of the HSM nodes in the company’s installation.
  • The Activity page with live information per file server volume in the System Information tab, and HSM information in the Volume Scans tab.
  • The Alerts page with administration log information for all file servers, ordered in a timely fashion.
  • The Configuration page for installation overview, and threshold migration information.
