Vmiscsiserveraddress

If there are multiple NICs for a Hyper-V host, use the vmiscsiserveraddress option to specify the IP address of the Hyper-V host server that is used for Linux File Restore in the same subnet as the ISCSI initiator and ISCSI target.

The vmiscsiserveraddress option is valid for all instant operations (vmrestoretype=instantaccess and vmrestoretype=instantrestore) for Hyper-V virtual machines.

Supported clients

This option is valid for supported Windows and Linux clients that operate as data movers to back up Hyper-V virtual machines.

Options file

If Hyper-V host has multiple NICs, for Linux File restore, you must set the VMISCSIServeraddress host IP address that will be used for Linux File Restore in the dsm.hostname_HV_MP_WIN.opt file.

Parameters

Hyper-V_host_IP_Address
Specify the Hyper-V host IP address that will be used for Linux File restore. This IP address must be in the same subnet as the ISCSI initiator and ISCSI target. If vmiscsiserveraddress is not specified and if the Hyper-V has multiple NICs, a random IP address for the Hyper-V host will be selected for Linux File restore.
