Mount and file restore
The IBM Storage Protect recovery agent enables the mounting of any snapshot volume from the IBM Storage Protect server. You can use the iSCSI protocol to access the snapshot from a remote computer for file restore operations.
Tip: Previous versions of Data Protection for Microsoft Hyper-V delivered the function for mounting and
snapshot and restoring a file by using the recovery agent. Although this function is still supported
by the recovery agent, the IBM Storage Protect
file restore interface is the preferred method as described in Getting started with file restore operations.
