Limitations for multiple-server environments

Some features are not supported when a file system is managed by multiple IBM Storage® Protect servers.

IBM Storage Protect server name encryption

It is not possible to encrypt multiple IBM Storage Protect server names on a single node.

IBM Storage Protect server node replication

All IBM Storage Protect client nodes in an IBM® Storage Scale cluster have the same node name. The IBM Storage Protect server node replication feature requires that different client node names are used on the source and target servers. Therefore, you cannot use the node replication feature in a multiple-server environment.

IBM Storage Protect server LAN-free configuration

A LAN-free IBM Storage Protect server configuration is not supported in a multiple-server environment.
