About this task

When a second server is not available for replication, follow these steps:

Procedure

  1. Before you upgrade the server to Domino® 8.x or 9 take a full offline backup of the databases with the IBM Storage Protect client.
  2. Install Domino 8.5.2 on the server.
  3. Install Data Protection for IBM® Domino 7.1.
  4. Begin with full backups with Data Protection for HCL Domino.

What to do next

If necessary, the Domino 6.5.x or 7.x version of the databases can be recovered with the IBM Storage Protect Backup Archive client.
