Security
Concepts that are associated with security issues and Data Protection for HCL Domino are described.
Data Protection for HCL Domino must be registered to the IBM Storage Protect server and use the appropriate node name and password when you are connecting to the IBM Storage Protect server.
Data Protection for HCL Domino must run from the same system user ID the Domino server is running under.
The IBM Storage Protect API enableclientencryptkey option
provides 128-bit transparent encryption of Domino databases during Data Protection for IBM
Domino backup and restore processing. Transparent encryption is only available on
IBM Storage Protect server Version 5.3 (or later). See More configuration options for details.
Note: You can see whether an NSF backup is encrypted, by issuing the query DBBackup command or by using the web or Java GUI.
