Restore Backup Data
IBM® Storage Protect for Cloud Salesforce provides five flexible scenarios to restore your organization's Salesforce data. Before the actual restore of Objects and Records, you can run a pre-restore and review job recommendations in the Job monitor. This enables you to adjust settings as needed, ensuring a smoother and error-free process.
Select an organization from the organization drop-down menu. Click Restore to show
the Restore tab, and select one of the following actions to start.
- Restore an Organization – Restore all records of an organization.
- Restore Objects – Restore every record of selected objects. The pre-restore is supported.
- Restore Records – Restore specific records only. The pre-restore is supported.
- Restore Fields – Restore the values of specific fields only.
- Restore Metadata – Restore the metadata of
the organization only.Note: To restore the custom objects and fields, IBM Storage Protect for Cloud Salesforce adds the corresponding permissions to the mapped users or the default user while running Out of Place Restore jobs.
If you want to set the External ID of objects within the organization as the unique identifier during the restore process if the corresponding Record ID does not exist in the destination organization, refer to Configure External ID.
