Customizing and uploading the template

The default branding template can be downloaded, modified, and uploaded to apply customized changes to the PEM UI.

1. Sign into the PEM Portal as a sponsor administrator.
2. Select your Profile and navigate to My Organization Profile > Branding
3. Download the default template by selecting the Download default template to customize option on the Default template tile to download the zip file.
4. Extract the default template zip file and edit the properties within the property files.
   Important:

   • When customizing the template, make sure to keep the same directory structure in the zip file. The file names in this directory, as well as the property names in the property files, are case sensitive and should not be changed.
   • If you do not modify all of the properties, you can either keep the unmodified properties or delete them; the deleted properties take on the default values.

5. Create a compressed (zip) file from all of the files and sub-folders in the template you customized.
6. Select Upload on the Custom template tile and browse to the zip file you created in Step 5.
7. You can preview the template and save it.
   1. If the virus scan is disabled, you can publish your changes and they will be reflected in the PEM UI.
   2. If the virus scan is enabled, the scan is initiated when you click Save.
      • If the scan is successful, you can publish your changes to the PEM UI.
      • If the scan fails, you will be unable to publish your changes. Repeat Step 7 with a non-corrupt zip file.

      After a successful upload, you can download the custom template.
8. Optional: To switch between the default and custom templates, select your preferred template and click Publish.
