Creating a code list

You can create a code list.

To create a code list, complete the following steps:

  1. Sign in to PEM Partner Repository as a Sponsor Administrator.
  2. Click Settings > Configurations > Code List.
  3. Click Create. The Code list configuration window opens.
  4. In the Name field, enter the name of the code list.
  5. Optional. In the Sender identity field, enter the name of the trading partner.

    During Sterling File Gateway integration, the sender identity name maps to the trading partner identity name of Sterling B2B Integrator.

  6. Optional. In the Receiver identity field, enter the name of the trading partner.

    During Sterling File Gateway integration, the receiver identity name maps to the trading partner identity name of Sterling B2B Integrator.

  7. Optional. In the Description field, enter the code list description.
  8. Optional. In Configuration Type, click Add. The Code list configuration type window opens.
  9. From the Type list, select the appropriate configuration type.
    Note: The Code for a Code List can be added to the configuration types TEST and PRODUCTION, which will be used for testing and production, respectively.
  10. Optional. In Extensions, click Select.... The Select Extensions window opens.
    1. To add a code list extension, click Add. The Code list extension window opens.
    2. In the Name field, enter the code list extension name.
    3. In the Value field, the code list extension value.
    4. Click OK.

  11. Optional. In Codes, click Add to add the code details. The Code configuration window opens.
    Note: For codes within a code list, the sender and receiver codes are unique.
    1. In Sender code, enter the code value of the sender that is cross-referenced to the code value of the receiver (for example, Blue).
    2. In Receiver code, enter the code value of the receiver that is cross-referenced to the code value of the sender (for example, Green).
    3. In Description, enter the description of what the code of the sender and receiver refers to.
    4. Optional. Starting Text 1 through Text 9 fields, enter the description or data pertaining to the sender and receiver code.
    5. Click OK. The code details are displayed.
  12. Click OK.
  13. Click SAVE.
  14. Click Close.
