Post deployment

If you have deployed a fresh instance of IBM PEM, after deploying the service components, ensure to complete the post deployment tasks.

If you are using a default sponsor, see Getting started as a default Sponsor Administrator. Otherwise, you can get started with the onboarding a new Sponsor Administrator. For more information, see Onboarding a new Sponsor Administrator.

If your organization uses the IBM PEM integration functionality to work with the Sterling File Gateway product, ensure to create the mandatory data for the sponsor. For more information, see Integration prerequisites and Getting started with IBM PEM integration.

Note: The IBM PEM integration functionality using PEM Partner Provisioner and PEM Partner Repository works the same for the IBM PEM Local feature users and IBM PEM Public Cloud users. The only difference is where the integration components reside. For the IBM PEM Local feature, the integration components reside in your data center. For the IBM PEM Public Cloud, the integration components reside in the IBM data center.
