Configuring API keys

Sponsor Administrators can configure and use API Keys for authenticating REST API calls in the PEM Partner Provisioner or the PEM Portal.

Authenticating a REST API call with an API key over the username and password authentication helps in the following scenarios:

  • An activity is running for a long time and the password that is used for authentication is expired, the authentication fails.
  • A user is deactivated from a sponsor organization but the user credentials are used in an activity for authentication, the authentication fails.
