Starting the activity for inbound push and outbound pull

The partner establishes a connection with the sponsor using FTP protocol to exchange files.

  1. Sign in to PEM Portal as a Sponsor Administrator.
  2. Click Activities. In the Actions column, click Rollout. The Activity Rollout window opens.
    For more information about rolling out the activity, see Rolling out an activity.
  3. After rolling out the activity to the required trading partner, click Directory.
  4. For the partner to whom you have rolled out the activity, from the Actions column, click View to view the information.
  5. Sign out of PEM Portal as a Sponsor Administrator.
  6. Sign in to PEM Portal as a Partner Administrator.
  7. You can view the activity that is rolled out for which the status is Not Started.
  8. From the Actions column, click Start activity. The Task Execution window opens.
  9. You can view the list of partner tasks that needs to be started. Start the following open tasks in the sequential order as follows:
    Note: To view all tasks, select the Show all Tasks check box. Based on the values configured by the Sponsor Administrator, you can view tasks that are opened for completion and tasks that are skipped. For example, if the Sponsor Administrator enables PGP, the corresponding PGP tasks such as I/B PGP Test, O/B PGP Test are opened for completion. Otherwise, they are skipped.
    1. Introduction
      1. In the Status/Action column, click Start task. The Introduction window opens.
      2. Click Finish.
    2. Profile and Direction Info
      1. In the Status/Action column, click Start task. The Profile and Direction Info wizard opens.
      2. In the Resource Prefix* field, enter the profile details that needs to be provisioned in the backend system.

        The character range must be 5 to 8 characters. For example, GOAIR123.

      3. Click Next.
      4. From the File send options list, select I will initiate the connection.
      5. From the File receive options list, select I will initiate the connection.

        Here, the sponsor administrator hosts the server and provides the server details. The partner administrator connects to the server as a client to manage file transfer.

      6. Click Finish.
    3. I/B Push Test
      1. In the Status/Action column, click Start task. The I/B Push Test window opens.

        You can view all the information that is provided by the Sponsor Administrator in the context data. Capture the FTP server details.

      2. Click Finish.
    4. O/B Pull Test
      1. In the Status/Action column, click Start task. The O/B Pull Test window opens.

        You can view all the information that is provided by the Sponsor Administrator in the context data. Capture the FTP server details.

      2. Click Finish.
    5. I/B Push Production
      1. In the Status/Action column, click Start task. The I/B Push Production window opens.

        You can view all the information that is provided by the Sponsor Administrator in the context data. Capture the FTP server details.

      2. Click Finish.
    6. O/B Pull Production
      1. In the Status/Action column, click Start task. The O/B Pull Production window opens.

        You can view all the information that is provided by the Sponsor Administrator in the context data. Capture the FTP server details

      2. Click Finish.
    7. Provisioning Confirmation - This is a confirmation task confirming whether you want to provision the tasks that are complete to the backend system. To confirm, click Next. A confirmation message is displayed. Click Yes. All the configurations assigned by the Sponsor Administrator to the Partner Administrator are provisioned to the backend system by calling REST APIs.
  10. Click Refresh.
    In the backend, the test provisioning completes, and the next task set of tasks are open as follows.
    1. I/B Push Testing
      1. In the Status/Action column, click Start task. The I/B Push Testing wizard opens.

        You can view all the information that is provided by the Sponsor Administrator in the context data. Capture the FTP server details.

      2. Select the I confirm that I am able to connect to the specified FTP server using the above details. check box.
      3. Click Finish.
    2. O/B Pull Testing
      1. In the Status/Action column, click Start task. The O/B Pull Testing wizard opens.

        You can view all the information that is provided by the Sponsor Administrator in the context data. Capture the FTP server details.

      2. Select the I confirm that I am able to connect to the specified FTP server using the above details. check box.
      3. Click Finish.
  11. Click Refresh. The following tasks are open: I/B Push Production Conftask is open:
    1. In the Status/Action column, click Start task. The I/B Push Production Conf wizard opens.

      You can view all the information that is provided by the Sponsor Administrator in the context data. Capture the FTP server details.

    2. Select the I confirm that I am able to connect to the specified FTP server using the above details. check box.
    3. Click Finish.
  12. Click Refresh. The O/B Pull Production Conftask is open.
    1. In the Status/Action column, click Start task. The O/B Pull Production Conf wizard opens.

      You can view all the information that is provided by the Sponsor Administrator in the context data. Capture the FTP server details.

    2. Select the I confirm that I am able to connect to the specified FTP server using the above details. check box.
    3. Click Finish.
  13. The status of the activity is green, which indicates that the onboarding of partners is successfully completed.
