Creating versions of an FTPS profile
You can create multiple versions under the same FTPS profile. However, only the latest version under an FTPS profile is the default version. You can create versions under the same profile only if the earlier version is in the Provisioning Complete(Production Configuration) status or in the deleted status. The Configuration ID for all versions under an FTPS profile are the same as that of the FTPS profile.
- Sign in to PEM Partner Repository as a Sponsor Administrator.
- Click Directory. By default, the details of the Partners tab are displayed.
- In the Actions column, select FTPS Configuration from the list for the appropriate partner. The FTPS Configuration window opens.
- Click the FTPS protocol directions such as FTPS Inbound Pull, FTPS Inbound Push, FTPS Outbound Pull, or FTPS Outbound Push that you want to configure.

Click the Name hyperlink to open an FTPS profile.
A window with at least one version of the FTPS profile is displayed.

Click Create or Copy to create a new version
under a profile.
When you create or copy a new version of the FTPS profile, the FTPS profile configuration name is populated that can be modified, if necessary.Note: The Create or Copy options are displayed only when status of all the displayed versions is either provisioning complete or deleted.
- Optional: In the Name field, the default name of the FTPS configuration is displayed. If you update the name while creating a new version, the name is updated for the FTPS configuration and all its versions.

In Configuration Types, click
Select to select the configuration types for the profile. The
Select Configuration Types window opens.
- Click the appropriate configuration type from the list. Otherwise, click Add. The Configuration Type window opens.
- From the Type list, select the appropriate configuration type.
- From the Connection Type list, select the appropriate connection type. By default, Active is selected.
- Optional: In the Active Port Range list, enter a range of ports that the server can allocate for the transfer of data to or from the FTPS client in active mode. The valid range is 0-65635 in xxx-yyy format, where xxx is less than yyy.
- From Encryption Strength list, select to set of SSL cipher suites that are allowed for this connection.
- In the Host field, enter the host name or IP address for the FTPS server that is listening to connections. If IP is present, IP address format validation. Otherwise, host name validation.
- Optional: From the Implicit SSL list, select the appropriate SSL connection to indicate whether it is implicit or explicit. The valid values are Yes and No. If implicit, the SSL negotiation occurs before the FTPS connection is established.
- In the Retry Interval (in Mins) field, enter the time interval, in minutes after which messages are re-queued and an attempt is made to resend them, after a send failure. The default is 1. Only numeric values are supported up to 2147483647.
- In the No Of Retries field, enter the maximum number of retries that can be attempted after repeated send failures. The default value is 3. Only numeric values are supported up to 2147483647.
- Optional: In the Passive Port Range list, enter a range of ports that the server can allocate for the transfer of data to or from the FTPS client in passive mode. The valid range is 0-65635 in xxx-yyy format, where xxx is less than yyy.
- Optional: In the Pickup Directory field, enter the directory on the trading partner's server where outbound data is stored for pickup. Used for outbound sessions.
- In the Port field, enter the port that is specified by the trading partner, to which connections need to be made. The valid values are 0-65535.
- Optional: From the Use CCC list, select the appropriate value to enable Clear Control Channel for this connection.
- In User Credential, click Select.... The Select User Credential window opens. From the list, select the local user credential name that you want to add.

In Certificates, click
Select.... The Select Certificates window opens. You can
select the CA digital certificate to be used for validating the server for this connection, which is
chosen from the list of CA certificates that are imported into PEM Partner Repository.
- Click Add. The Certificate window opens.
- From the Certificate Type list, select CA. By default, CA certificate type is displayed.
- In SSL Certificate, click Select.... The Select SSL Certificate window opens that provides the list of certificates. Select the appropriate certificate from the list.
- Optional:
In Extensions, click
Select.... The Select Extensions window opens.
- Click Add. The Select Extensions window opens.
- In the Name field, enter the extension name.
- In the Value field, enter the extension value.
- Click OK.
- Close all the other windows by clicking OK.
- Click Save to save your changes.
