Prerequisites for Deploying IBM PEM Standard Docker Images
You need to carry out certain tasks before deploying the IBM PEM Standard docker images.
The following steps must be carried out before deploying the IBM PEM Standard docker images:
- Download and install Docker Engine. Docker Engine is available for download from https://docs.docker.com/engine/install/.
- Create a MountFiles directory, setting permissions for the directory and all sub-directories to 755. The installation process uses MountFiles/community-manager-api.log to create log files.
- Install JDK version 8 or higher in the mounted directory and rename the installation directory as cmjdk.
- Create a Logs directory and set permissions to 755.
- Install IBM Sterling B2B Integrator and IBM Sterling File Gateway, version 6.0.2 or later, following the instructions found in this link. Be sure to note your IBM Sterling B2B Integrator login and password.
- Follow the instructions provided in the subsequent links to configure the IBM Sterling B2B Integrator for use with your DB2 or Oracle database. Note: PCM leverages the IBM Sterling B2B Integrator schema, using it to create a PCM table.
- Download the IBM PEM Standard image from IBM Passport Advantage. To access IBM Passport Advantage, refer to Registering at the Passport Advantage and Fix Central Sites.
