Topologies overview

A Sponsor Administrator or System Administrator can create and manage topologies and associate the company's application deployments to specific topologies.

A topology defines the structure of a product deployment, and is used by the system to provision resources. To provision the resources, on receiving a provisioning request from the Sponsor Administrator, the Rule Engine in PEM Partner Provisioner selects a topology and starts an activity that invokes the APIs for the selected topology. To enable this, you must create a topology and associate the appropriate applications to the topology definition. You can define production and test topologies and view the list of topologies that are created.
