Assumptions
It is assumed that you have adequate understanding of the tools and technologies that are needed to set up and administer the service components.
Before you begin
- Fundamental concepts of Red Hat Enterprise Linux® 7.2 administration.
- Fundamental concepts of Proxy Servers (Reverse/Forward) to help in load balancing traffic across the service components - PEM Portal, PEM Partner Repository, PEM Partner Provisioner and to configure the traffic going outside your network.
- Database administration concepts.
- If you are using IBM® WebSphere® MQ as your JMS Provider, you must have a fundamental understanding about the implementation of IBM WebSphere MQ.
- Fundamental knowledge about setting up a mail server. You must have an in-house mail server to send mails from the service component.
- Basic understanding of Docker and other prerequisite applications and plug-ins are required to pull docker images from Bluemix.
- Understanding of Java™ Keystore. For more information, see Keystore documentation.
- Installation and maintenance of ClamAV antivirus. For more information, see Configuring virus scans section.
