Adding an image to an email template

To customize the email messages that are sent to partners, you can add your company logo or other images to the email templates.

Before customizing an email template, you must download the standard email templates. To download the standard email templates, see Downloading system email templates. Be sure to upload the image files when you upload the customized email templates. To upload image files for email templates, see Customizing the appearance of IBM PEM.
Note: The procedure to upload images for use in email templates is different from the procedure to upload images used in activities.
Images in email templates have a size limit of 2 MB, and only 2 images can be added in each template file. Each image file has a unique CID (content ID):
  • Email image 1 CID = MRMEmailImageCID1
  • Email image 2 CID = MRMEmailImageCID2
  1. Open the email template to modify.
  2. In the location for the first image, add the following line: <img src="cid:MRMEmailImageCID1">
  3. Optional: In the location for the second image, add the following line: <img src="cid:MRMEmailImageCID2">
  4. When you are finished customizing the email template, save the file.
When you are finished customizing all the email templates, upload the customized template files. Make sure that the directory structure of the files is the same as it was when the system email templates were downloaded.
