Custom roles

In addition to the built-in roles that you can assign to user accounts, you can create your own roles that you can assign to users to customize authorization.

IBM® Spectrum Symphony can contain different user roles.
Granting permissions to a user role
You can customize a user role by assigning permissions to it.
Granting permission to assign roles to others
Use this topic to set the Role Assignment (EGO_ROLE_ASSIGNMENT) permission ID to an existing role. A logged-on user role granted with this role assignment permission can then assign roles to other users.
Copying a role
You can copy a role to save time.
Deleting a role
If a role is no longer necessary, you can delete it.
